DRB Global Initiatives
DRB is contributing to sustainable development by joining global initiatives.
DRB pledges to strive to address environmental and social issues and become a leading company in fulfilling corporate social responsibilities.
1. UN Global Compact (UNGC)
DRB joined the UN Global Compact in April 2021 to declare volition to practice sustainable management domestically and internationally. DRB supports the 10 Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption which are core values of the UNGC, and contributes to sustainability and awareness of corporate citizenship by implementing the 10 Principles of UNGC in DRB’s own operation and management strategies.
2. UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
UN Sustainable Development Goals define 17 goals that aim to address various challenges faced by humanity, which include social, environmental, climate change, and economic issues.
UN SDGs, also referred to as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, are the globally shared goals that the international community must achieve. DRB includes the UN SDGs in its sustainable management and actively engages with stakeholders to contribute to achieving SDGs.
ESG Assessment
DRB is continuing to strengthen ESG management by participating in sustainability assessments conducted by EcoVadis, which provides trusted business sustainability ratings, and Korea Corporate Governance Service.
Korea Corporate Governance Service (KCGS)
KCGS conducts ESG evaluation based on ESG data publicly disclosed by companies listed on KOSPI and assigns ratings ranging from S to D for Integrated ESG, environmental, social, and governance ratings. DRB Holding Co., Ltd. and DRB Industrial Co., Ltd. both received B+ for ESG rating.
EcoVadis Sustainability Rating
EcoVadis assessment is intended for non-financial factors that include the impacts of environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Each company receives assessment on important issues that are related to its own scale, location, and industry.
DRB Industrial Co., Ltd. received a Gold Medal from EcoVadis in 2022 following a Silver Medal from EcoVadis in 2021.
